How I'm Photographing Safely During Covid-19
The pandemic has been so challenging for so many—due to COVID-19, we were all forced to adjust and adapt to a new normal. The health and safety of my clients is my top priority as well as my own and that of my family. Because of that, I wanted to take a moment to reassure you that I have been and will continue to take all precautions advised by the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health.
Take a look at the new policies I’ve implemented below. I follow all of these practices diligently to ensure the safety of everyone involved in photo sessions.
How I'm Photographing Safely During Covid-19
Liberal Rescheduling Policy
During COVID-19, I have implemented a liberal rescheduling policy where either of us can reschedule up to the time of the shoot if there are symptoms of any kind. We can reschedule for a later date without a problem!
On top of that, I am asking that clients let me know if they become ill within a week after the session.
No Physical Greetings
As much as I want to give you a hug or handshake before and after your session, I am not doing physical greetings of any kind to maintain a safe distance.
I am Fully Vaccinated
At this time, I am happy to say that I am triple vaccinated. This allows all of my sessions to be much safer (especially if you are too)!
I will continue to wear an N95 mask during ALL in-home sessions and will mask for outdoor sessions if the client prefers.
Sanitization and Protective Gear
To be as cautious as possible, I sanitize my hands thoroughly before and after all photo sessions. On top of that, I sanitize all of the gear I use between every session
Social Distancing
Whether it’s an in-home session or an outdoor session, I am a stickler about keeping my distance from my clients at all times. Thankfully, long lenses allow photographers to do that while still being able to capture the same close-up, intimate portraits you’ve seen in my portfolio.
I’ve also implemented no-touch posing—this means I’ll be guiding you from a distance with helpful verbal cues.
Immediate Family Only
During these unprecedented times, I’m keeping photography clients safe by only shooting immediate family with a maximum of 10 people. Though I wish we could get grandma and grandma involved in your session, it’s crucial for the safety of everyone to keep groups small.
The Same Great Experience
So much has changed since this pandemic started, but a fun session and the gorgeous photos you’ll receive will always remain constant from Kiersten Marie Photo. As I continue to capture your beautiful memories, I am committed to keeping you all as safe as possible. I will carry on all precautions the CDC and the Washington State Health Department recommends until we’re on the other end of this.
Thank you all for supporting this little business during these incredibly difficult times. I’m so grateful to be able to shoot your photo sessions safely and I hope to see you soon.
