Natural, Outdoor & In-Home Maternity Photography in Seattle
A More Relaxed, Natural Approach to Maternity Photos
Looking for a Seattle maternity photographer who offers natural, relaxed photos that actually feel like you?
I specialize in lifestyle maternity photography across Seattle and the Eastside, creating images that feel effortless, connected, and true to this season of life.
Most people come into maternity photos feeling a little unsure—especially when their body feels different than usual. That’s completely normal.
You don’t need to feel “camera-ready” or like your usual self. I’ll guide you in a way that feels natural and comfortable, while paying close attention to light, angles, and movement so everything comes together in a way that feels easy and true to you.
All families are welcome here. Fully and without exception. I photograph families of all backgrounds, identities, and structures, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and completely yourself.
THE DETAILS
-
You, your partner, and anyone you want included in this season. Kids and pets are always welcome.
-
Maternity sessions are typically best between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is visible but you’re still feeling comfortable moving around.
If you’re a little outside that window, don’t stress. There’s flexibility, and we can figure out what feels best for you.
-
Outdoors in one of Seattle’s beautiful locations, or in your home for something more relaxed and intimate.
I’ll help guide you toward locations that feel natural, not overly busy or distracting, with light that’s soft and flattering.
-
About 45–60 minutes.
We keep things easy, with space to move, adjust, and take breaks as needed. Nothing rushed, nothing overly structured.
If you’re looking for something shorter, I also offer petite maternity sessions.
-
You don’t need to have this figured out before reaching out. I’m happy to help guide you toward pieces that feel comfortable, natural, and photograph beautifully.
Once you’re booked, I’ll send a detailed style guide that walks through everything, from colors and fit to how to pull outfits together without overthinking it.

Ready to learn more about Maternity Sessions?
Hey! I’m Kiersten. (She/Her/Hers). I’m a newborn, family, and headshot photographer.
While I've called Seattle home for quite some time now, my roots lie in Minnesota, where the spirit of "Minnesota nice" runs deep in my veins and reflects in both my personal and professional life.
One thing I often hear from clients is how comfortable I make them feel during our sessions, which is my ultimate goal (besides, you know, getting gorgeous photos together).
If you’re searching for a photographer who keeps things relaxed and easy, you’ve landed in the right spot. I'm not the type to go all out with loud cheers or make you do zany antics just to get “the perfect shot” (not that there’s nothing wrong with that). I’ll guide you the entire time — but I won’t ask you to reenact moments or perform happiness.
I believe in going with the flow because let's face it, both photo sessions and life never go exactly as planned (especially with fussy toddlers or, you know, husbands). During a session, you’ll often find me cracking jokes, helping you remember what to do with your hands, adjusting you into beautiful light, or just backing up and giving you space to settle in. The best moments tend to happen in the in-between—when you forget about the camera and just get to be yourselves.
Oh, and when I'm not behind the camera, you can probably find me sipping one of Seattle’s many amazing lattes, playing guitar, obsessing over my plants, or enjoying the absolute beauty of the Pacific Northwest with my Korean rescue pup named Fig.
Let’s bid farewell to the awkward photo shoot and create some natural, heartfelt photos together.
